While in Hawaii to photograph a wedding, my sister and I took some time to go on excursions and see the island of O’ahu. One of those excursions was to Hanauma Bay State Park, where tourists and locals alike have the ability to swim and snorkel in one of the island’s most scenic bays.

My sister and I came to Hawaii to photograph a friend of mine’s wedding in Honolulu. While we were here, we made some extra time to sightsee and go on some excursions. One of those was to experience the history at Pearl Harbor.

Although it had familiar elements I’d seen before of a wedding ceremony, there were several traditions I had never seen before. One of which was their tradition to give servers (their own family members) large amounts of money for coffee.
