Gina and Adam's Brooklyn Wedding / by Christian Hernandez

As you may have read in my previous post, I met Adam and Gina in April 2022 when they reached out to me needing a wedding photographer. I photographed their engagement in June 2022 and two weeks later, it was their wedding day.

My task on this day was to document everything from beginning to end through photographs. In all weddings, I make sure to capture getting ready photos for both the bride and groom, bridal portraits, family portraits, empty-room shots of the ceremony site and reception site, the ceremony itself, cocktail hour, bridal party entry, first-dances, speeches - all of that and more. Capturing it all allows me to document a more complete story through photos of the entire day.

The girls got ready at Gina’s family’s home in Brooklyn. And the boys got ready at The Williamsburg Hotel. It was a 10-hour day and my feet were so sore, my back hurt, and my legs were barely holding me up at the end. But even with the physical labor and the long hours of standing, kneeling, running around - the satisfaction I feel from getting to capture great moments makes all of it worth it. I really love getting to capture moments that families get to keep and look back on in the future.

I tried to display the images below in order of how the day progressed.

Here is some of what we captured.
